"Ann Power's work is abstract and is both an exploration of process - wet paint into wet paint - and a focus on the continuous line and the gap between one area and the next. The medium used ranges from high gloss household paint to watercolour and charcoal. A particular influence is the work of the American Abstract Expressionists." | ||

"A South African by birth (we are not allowed to publish her Date of Birth!), Jean trained at the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, where she gained a degree in Fine Art. She has exhibited in South Africa and has works in the Cape Town National gallery. For the last three years Jean has exhibited in London. As can be seen from her gallery, Jean's main interest is in landscapes. She uses a variety of mediums but works primarily in Acrylics on Canvas." | ||

Her inspiration has greatly been drawn from areas such as Ironbridge, and the Midland Canals, with a special interest in Bridges, Iron, Brick, Stone and Concrete.
