Competition Rules
~
You are invited to produce entries for the Jane Powell Art Studio Printmakers Open 2006, which will take place between Friday 13th January and Saturday 28th January 2006 inclusive. This event aims to provide Artists and Printmakers the opportunity to display prints such as etchings, woodcuts, engravings, collagraphs, monoprints etc. (Please note, copies of watercolours, oils, computer generated prints are not required).

  • Artists/Printmakers may submit up to 5 prints
  • Prints should be securely and discreetly mounted and framed using 2mm picture glass and fitted tightly with hooks and cord.
  • Each Print must be labelled with the printmaker's name, title of work, method used, price and size. Please also indicate whether your work is a non-editionable print (one-off print), a proof or one of a limited edition.
  • Your work should be brought to the studio on Monday 9th January 2006 between 10.30am and 3pm. You will be advised by post within 2 or 3 days if your work is not selected - Please be careful with presentation - and rejected prints should be collected from the Studio on Thursday 12th January 2006 between 10.30am and 3pm.
  • There is an entrance fee of £10 to help towards administrative costs.
  • The winner will receive at the Opening the Jane Powell Art Studio Open Silver Salver with a small replica of the Salver to keep and some print making equipment.
  • There will be a 25% commission on prints sold.
  • At the end of the exhibition, all unsold work should be collected from the Studio on Tuesday 31st January 2006 between 10.30am and 3pm please.

    One very important thing to bear in mind. This exhibition cannot take place without YOU. So inks and presses at the ready, and please return your completed entry form by the dates requested.
